Michael is an experienced, full-stack software engineer and CTO with a specialization in artificial intelligence and voice AI. He's worked extensively with Go, Python, Ruby, Java, and JavaScript for application development, data manipulation, and machine/deep learning, with deep experience in natural language processing (intent detection, topic modeling, chatbots, knowledge extraction, and deep search), anomaly detection, and time series prediction.

He was product engineering lead for IBM Watson Orders, the McDonald's drive-thru voice AI and the largest retail rollout of voice AI at the time, and later SVP of AI at Checkmate.

Today he runs BotBot, where brands design how their voice AI behaves and test it against the outcomes that matter, and where the company itself is the other experiment: a few people plus a team of AI agents working from one shared, written-down place.
