Community Building

Throughout his career, Michael has worked to build communities to create peer support and foster entrepreneurship. He served as the Chair of Sandbox Network, a global community of 1,500 experts, entrepreneurs, creatives, and change makers. In his role, he worked to develop novel governing models and a culture of transparency and peer leadership.

Previously he co-founded Proudly Made in DC, an umbrella organization for startups and founders that works to connect local founders with each other and opportunities as well as advertise entrepreneurial activity in the region. He also co-founded the DC Tech Meetup, officially the world's largest Tech Meetup as of June 2012.
